Abstract:This paper introduces the structure, characteristics and production operation of the (KMPT) VZU160/5G vertical centrifuge of sulphuric acid workshop in Guixi smelter of Jiangxi Copper Corporation Limited. A series of failure forms and equipment maintenance summary which the equipment showed during the operation period are detailed analyzed and judged. And in view of its main reasons, including the fast scraper wear not ideal of the effect of slag scraping, vibration and other faults, the corresponding solutions and improvement measures are put forward. Through improving the scraper form, the failure occurrence is reduced effectively, the efficiency of equipment is improved, the service life of scraper is prolonged, and a lot of spare parts and maintenance costs are saved.
