Abstract:Rare earth mines cause environmental pollution to the surrounding water and soil due to soil erosion and other reasons，which has a great impact on the construction of ecological civilization. In order to further strengthen the construction of ecological civilization，the implementation of brownfield governance projects in mining areas is urgent，and financing is an indispensable part in the process of brownfield governance. Taking the example of a brownfield site in a rare earth mining area，combined with relevant data，this paper summarized the current situation of brownfield restoration and financing mechanisms in rare earth mining areas in China. Besides，this work identified the exiting problems of financing mechanisms for brownfield restoration and governance in rare earth mining areas，and proposed countermeasures for innovation of financing mechanisms for brownfield restoration and management in rare earth mining areas，and then provided some new suggestions for the government and enterprises，so as to accelerate the government''s solution to the difficult financing predicament of brownfield in rare earth mining areas.
