Abstract:The main mineral of Makeng Iron Mine in Fujian is magnetite, with a wide particle size distribution and the presence of fine-grained inclusions, which directly affects the separation and recovery effect, the existing process is capable of producing iron concentrates with an average grade of not less than 65%. The grinding volume and the grain size of magnetite inlays of different ore types are the main factors affecting grade fluctuations. According to the economic estimates, it is more economical and reasonable when the average grade of the iron concentrate is 65%. Increasing the ultra-fine grinding process to stabilize the grade of iron ore is technically feasible, but economic benefit is poor.
