Abstract:The power compensation cabinet of the low voltage distribution room of Kaldor furnace in Guixi smelter has the phenomenon of burning out of capacitor, fuse and contactor etc., the failure rate is high and the expected compensation effect cannot be achieved. In terms of power quality compensation, the capacitor compensation cabinet is rarely used for compensation. The existing technology adopts SVG compensation. The main advantage of SVG is that it can not only improve the power factor, but also can be used to control harmonics to improve the whole power quality.
